Tim, Q1 revenues. 2002 a slight increase
In the first quarter of 2002, the group has made Tim consolidated revenues of 2.498 billion euros with a growth of 4.3% over the same period in 2001. EBITDA amounted to 1.221 billion euros, an increase of 3.7% over the same period in 2001. Operating income was 831 million euros, an increase of 1, 8% versus the first quarter of 2001. Consolidated net profit of the Parent Company amounted to 918 million euros and has increased over the first quarter of 2001, or 130.1%. This result has contributed 484 million euro capital gain on the sale of extraordinary BDT, parent of Bouygues Télécom. Net debt amounted to 223 million euros, a decrease, compared to 31 December 2001 amounted to 1.309 million. The significant improvement has contributed to about 750 million euros, the receipt of the sale price of the stake in Bouygues. At 31 March 2002 the number of mobile lines Tim Group amounted to 39.7 million (excluding the mobile lines and Amena, Bouygues Telecom), an increase of 17.2% compared to the homogeneous and 31 March 2001 (33, 9 million).
